Makeup Revolution Life on the Dance Floor VIP

Hi guys! Today I'm going to being reviewing the new Makeup Revolution Life on the Dance Floor VIP collection.  I picked up this collection from a few different places which I'll link down below.
So firstly I have to talk about the stunning packaging of this entire collection. This sparkly packaging makes this collection appear exclusive and expensive which is impressive especially for a drug store brand. I purchased 3 of the 4 new eye shadow palettes. I bought the palettes based on the colour schemes I found most appealing to me. I picked up Guest List, VIP and After Party. The only palette I didn't purchase was the Sparklers palette just because the colours didn't appeal to me personally.

Here are swatches from the Guest List palette just to give you guys an idea of the pigmentation.

I think that overall these palettes have nice pigmentation, the best being the shimmer shades. My favourite palette is definitely the After Party palette as it is mainly beautiful shimmers. These shimmers almost look metallic on initial swatch. I think if you wet your eye shadow brush or just apply these directly with your fingers you are going to maximise that metallic shine.
I did find that some of the lighter transition shades didn't swatch that well for me just as they weren't as pigmented as I would have liked. The texture of these eye shadows are soft overall with the shimmer shades feeling buttery and soft and the mattes are soft too but more powdery which does lead to a bit of fall out during application. In saying this I should note that with a lot of drug store brands I have experienced crumbly textures and fall out so I'm happy with this level of fall out as it is only minimal.
These palettes retail for €14.34 and include 24 shades. For the price point and the pigmentation I think that these palettes are a lovely item to add to your make up collection, from beginners to experts I believe there is something in these palettes for everyone.

SOSU Contour Stick

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing the SoSu contour stick. I’m aware this product has been around for a while now but I have always avoided cream contour products for two reasons. The first being that I don’t want the product to slide around my face and also powder products are easier to use. Secondly, any cream contour products I have come across for reasonable money have been too dark for my skin tone. I purchased the contour stick in the shade ‘Cool’ from my local pharmacy that stocks SoSu products. On application I swiped the contour stick directly onto my face where I would normally apply contour powder and then I used a beauty sponge to blend it out. The stick is very pigmented and it only takes one swipe to apply. It’s very smooth on the skin and the product is easy to build up if you want a more prominent contour. The component feels good quality and the product is cruelty-free, paraben-free and vegan. Overall I think this is a great product. The stick is ea...

Testing make up brushes from Lidl?!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Miomare professional cosmetic brush set from Lidl. I was in Lidl last week and saw these. They were only €5 and I thought they would make an interesting blog post. This is an eight piece set that includes a powder brush, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush, a mascara wand, a lip brush, an eyeliner brush, an eye shadow applicator and  a brush roll . All the brushes are 100% synthetic. There were a few different colours of the brush rolls but I just got the black faux leather one. I was testing these brushes out over the weekend and I have some mixed feeling about them. My favourite brushes in this set are the powder and the blush blushes. I also really like the mascara wand. However I didn't enjoy the rest of the brushes. The eyeshadow brush did not apply product on my eyelid very well. The eyeshadow applicator, eyeliner and lip brushes weren't very useful for me. I don't usually use these tools when applying my make up anyway ...

Moo Goo Shampoo Review

I realise I am late to discovering this shampoo but nevertheless it deserves a review. I picked up the Moo Goo shampoo in my local chemist last week after a friend recommended it to me. I must admit I have been obsessed every since. I have dry hair and over the years I feel like I have tried every shampoo on the market for dry hair. It wasn't until I discovered the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo did my hair improve at all however sometimes even that doesn't work for my hair. It can be frustrating as using hair masks can make my hair go greasy faster and my scalp would still be dry. Since I started using the Moo Goo shampoo my hair looks more hydrated and there is no dryness on my scalp. This shampoo is a little more expensive than your average bottle of shampoo however I believe it is worth every penny. This shampoo is excellent and also leaves a lovely shine.   Available at:  https://moogoo.ie/scalp-friendly-milk-shampoo Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC...
