Affordable Valentines Day Look

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be creating this affordable Valentines Day look using mostly drugstore products.
This look was super easy to create and I tried to make this very affordable too . I started by priming
my face as always using the Soap and Glory speed plump all day super moisture marvel. This is my favourite moisturiser ever and always smells amazing. I then used the Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation in the shade 51 and applied that all over my face using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (which is currently on sale on Feel Unique's website see the link down below). I then applied the Make Up Revolution conceal and define concealer in C1 to my under-eye area and blended it in using the same sponge.
Next I primed my eyelids using Mac paint pot in painterly. I don't currently have a dupe for this product but I would love to find a good cheaper eye primer if possible. I then used the Make Up Revolution Flawless 4 palette and Blank Canvas Cosmetics brushes to create this eye look. I started by placing the shade Cerise in my crease and blending that as a transition shade I then used the deeper shade called Candle also in my crease just to define that area more. Next I packed the shade Palette Whistle all over my lid and I then went in with Cerise again on the outer corners just to blend the colours together more. I then placed the shade Bloom in my inner corner to open up the eye area. These eyeshadows are super pigmented and you can create so many different looks with this palette. I then placed the Collection Glam Crystals Gel Glitter Eyeliner in Glitz 1 along my lash line and this really makes the eyes pop. I topped off the eyes with the Essence lashes of the day mascara which is super lengthening and voluminous.
For my brows I used my trusty Rimmel eyebrow pencil in blonde and then set my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel. On my face I used the contour shade from the Make Up Revolution renaissance glow kit. This is the perfect cool toned brown shade for anyone who has very pale skin like me. I used the SOSU Highlighter Kit to highlight my face. I mixed the shades Moon Sparkle and Unicorn Dust and I would highly recommend this palette, it has the most blinding highlighter shades I've ever used and this palette offers shades for every skin tone too! Finally I applied the Maybelline Superstay 24 Matte Ink Lipstick in the shade 65 Seductress and set the look using Mac prep + prime fix +

Testing make up brushes from Lidl?!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Miomare professional cosmetic brush set from Lidl. I was in Lidl last week and saw these. They were only €5 and I thought they would make an interesting blog post. This is an eight piece set that includes a powder brush, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush, a mascara wand, a lip brush, an eyeliner brush, an eye shadow applicator and  a brush roll . All the brushes are 100% synthetic. There were a few different colours of the brush rolls but I just got the black faux leather one. I was testing these brushes out over the weekend and I have some mixed feeling about them. My favourite brushes in this set are the powder and the blush blushes. I also really like the mascara wand. However I didn't enjoy the rest of the brushes. The eyeshadow brush did not apply product on my eyelid very well. The eyeshadow applicator, eyeliner and lip brushes weren't very useful for me. I don't usually use these tools when applying my make up anyway ...

Upcycling my bedside locker

Hi! Today I wanted to show you a piece of furniture I recently upcycled. I have this bedside locker for a few years. However the top of it have been damaged by nail varnish and it has some wear and tear marks. I decided to paint it one of my favourite colours from Dulux which is Mid Shadow. I picked up everything I needed from Bandon Co-Op Retail and Garden Centre. I will link what I bought down below.  I started by cleaning the locker with a damp cloth and then waited for it to dry. I removed the drawer knobs. Then I lightly sanded down the surfaces with some sanding paper. This creates a key for the paint to adhere to when you are applying it. I started applying my satinwood to the locker. I decided to purchase the water based satinwood as it drys quickly and is more environmentally friendly. It took about 4 coats however you can buy an undercoat too to reduce the amount of coats you need to apply.  For the drawer knobs I decided the keep them and spray paint...

Moo Goo Shampoo Review

I realise I am late to discovering this shampoo but nevertheless it deserves a review. I picked up the Moo Goo shampoo in my local chemist last week after a friend recommended it to me. I must admit I have been obsessed every since. I have dry hair and over the years I feel like I have tried every shampoo on the market for dry hair. It wasn't until I discovered the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo did my hair improve at all however sometimes even that doesn't work for my hair. It can be frustrating as using hair masks can make my hair go greasy faster and my scalp would still be dry. Since I started using the Moo Goo shampoo my hair looks more hydrated and there is no dryness on my scalp. This shampoo is a little more expensive than your average bottle of shampoo however I believe it is worth every penny. This shampoo is excellent and also leaves a lovely shine.   Available at:  https://moogoo.ie/scalp-friendly-milk-shampoo Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC...
