Mario Badescu The 50th Anniversary Edition Set

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Mario Badescu The 50th Anniversary Edition Set. I got this from Beauty Bay for €39.40. It sold out very fast but its now back in stock on their website. This brand has a huge range of skincare products which are very popular and this set is a great way to get your hands on a good few of their most popular products. According to Beauty Bay's website this set comes with 5 products:
Drying Lotion (1 fl oz) - An award-winning spot and whitehead treatment.
Silver Powder (0.5 oz) - A blackhead remover.
Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater (4 fl oz) - A hydrating and refreshing facial spray.
Flower & Tonic Mask (0.5 oz) - A purifying face mask.
Enzyme Cleansing Gel (4 fl oz) - An exfoliating face wash.
I usually wash my face using the enzyme cleansing gel. I have sensitive skin so I'm always cautious of face washes but I find this product is very gentle on the face. I apply with a face cloth and rinse off with warm water. It also has a subtle scent to it which I personally prefer in my face washes.
I also like applying the sliver powder when I can feel my pores getting clogged up. I simply follow the instructions and afterwards my pores look minimised and clear. The only thing with this product is that it can be a bit messy to apply but the results are worth it.
The spray I use for a few different purposes. If my skin needs a bit of hydration I like to spray my face with this instead of moisturising creams sometimes, I also use it after my skincare routine and also for setting my make up.
The mask is probably the item I use the last in this set just because I don't tend to apply face masks very often. I did however find this was a nice face mask on the skin and it did what it claimed to do.
My favourite product from this set is probably the drying lotion. If I have any blemishes or break outs on my skin I apply this with a cotton bud to that area and leave it overnight. By the morning I can always notice a huge improvement.
Overall this set is definitely worth trying if you're looking for some new skincare products.

Testing make up brushes from Lidl?!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Miomare professional cosmetic brush set from Lidl. I was in Lidl last week and saw these. They were only €5 and I thought they would make an interesting blog post. This is an eight piece set that includes a powder brush, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush, a mascara wand, a lip brush, an eyeliner brush, an eye shadow applicator and  a brush roll . All the brushes are 100% synthetic. There were a few different colours of the brush rolls but I just got the black faux leather one. I was testing these brushes out over the weekend and I have some mixed feeling about them. My favourite brushes in this set are the powder and the blush blushes. I also really like the mascara wand. However I didn't enjoy the rest of the brushes. The eyeshadow brush did not apply product on my eyelid very well. The eyeshadow applicator, eyeliner and lip brushes weren't very useful for me. I don't usually use these tools when applying my make up anyway

SOSU Contour Stick

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing the SoSu contour stick. I’m aware this product has been around for a while now but I have always avoided cream contour products for two reasons. The first being that I don’t want the product to slide around my face and also powder products are easier to use. Secondly, any cream contour products I have come across for reasonable money have been too dark for my skin tone. I purchased the contour stick in the shade ‘Cool’ from my local pharmacy that stocks SoSu products. On application I swiped the contour stick directly onto my face where I would normally apply contour powder and then I used a beauty sponge to blend it out. The stick is very pigmented and it only takes one swipe to apply. It’s very smooth on the skin and the product is easy to build up if you want a more prominent contour. The component feels good quality and the product is cruelty-free, paraben-free and vegan. Overall I think this is a great product. The stick is ea
