The Bam & Boo collection

Hi guys! I have recently teamed up with The Bam & Boo to review some of their products.
The Bam & Boo are an eco-friendly company with the goal to bring, "ecological and social sustainability to this market". It's an honour to work with such an environmentally aware company. The toothbrushes come in a subscription form. You can order these toothbrushes to arrive every 1- 4 months depending on your preference. These are available in 2 sizes, come in soft and medium bristles and a variety of colours. The cotton buds can be purchased directly from their website at any time. They come in a paper box of 100, the stick is made of natural bamboo and the tips are pure cotton. They are vegan friendly and are a zero waste product. Both products have biodegradable packaging.
My boyfriend and I have been testing out these products for just over a week now and we are both very pleased with the products. The feel of the toothbrushes are very different to the usual plastic ones, one is used to. The bristles are soft and overall the textures are natural feeling and pleasant to use daily. My only issue was that I have sensitive teeth so the bamboo can be a small bit more harsh on my teeth however my boyfriend did not have this issue.
The cotton buds, like the toothbrush, are again manufactured using cotton and bamboo. This compared with the usual plastic variety are of better quality and stiffer allowing for better use compared to flexible and non-renewable manufactured ones.
Overall we were extremely pleased and grateful to this company for sending us these products. The use of timber as a natural product is a nice touch and this complimented with the recyclable card paper packaging makes it a welcome eco-conscious option when compared with other companies.

Moo Goo Shampoo Review

I realise I am late to discovering this shampoo but nevertheless it deserves a review. I picked up the Moo Goo shampoo in my local chemist last week after a friend recommended it to me. I must admit I have been obsessed every since. I have dry hair and over the years I feel like I have tried every shampoo on the market for dry hair. It wasn't until I discovered the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo did my hair improve at all however sometimes even that doesn't work for my hair. It can be frustrating as using hair masks can make my hair go greasy faster and my scalp would still be dry. Since I started using the Moo Goo shampoo my hair looks more hydrated and there is no dryness on my scalp. This shampoo is a little more expensive than your average bottle of shampoo however I believe it is worth every penny. This shampoo is excellent and also leaves a lovely shine.   Available at:  https://moogoo.ie/scalp-friendly-milk-shampoo Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC...

SOSU Contour Stick

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing the SoSu contour stick. I’m aware this product has been around for a while now but I have always avoided cream contour products for two reasons. The first being that I don’t want the product to slide around my face and also powder products are easier to use. Secondly, any cream contour products I have come across for reasonable money have been too dark for my skin tone. I purchased the contour stick in the shade ‘Cool’ from my local pharmacy that stocks SoSu products. On application I swiped the contour stick directly onto my face where I would normally apply contour powder and then I used a beauty sponge to blend it out. The stick is very pigmented and it only takes one swipe to apply. It’s very smooth on the skin and the product is easy to build up if you want a more prominent contour. The component feels good quality and the product is cruelty-free, paraben-free and vegan. Overall I think this is a great product. The stick is ea...

Upcycling my bedside locker

Hi! Today I wanted to show you a piece of furniture I recently upcycled. I have this bedside locker for a few years. However the top of it have been damaged by nail varnish and it has some wear and tear marks. I decided to paint it one of my favourite colours from Dulux which is Mid Shadow. I picked up everything I needed from Bandon Co-Op Retail and Garden Centre. I will link what I bought down below.  I started by cleaning the locker with a damp cloth and then waited for it to dry. I removed the drawer knobs. Then I lightly sanded down the surfaces with some sanding paper. This creates a key for the paint to adhere to when you are applying it. I started applying my satinwood to the locker. I decided to purchase the water based satinwood as it drys quickly and is more environmentally friendly. It took about 4 coats however you can buy an undercoat too to reduce the amount of coats you need to apply.  For the drawer knobs I decided the keep them and spray paint...
