Carter Beauty Half Measure Dewy Foundation

Hi guys! I'm back with another foundation review. I apologize for the lack of posting recently as I have been busy with college exams. I haven't had much of a chance recently to test out make up but I did get a chance to try out the Carter Beauty Half Measure Dewy Foundation. I purchased this in Penney's recently as Carter Beauty in now available in many Penney's stores in Ireland. I must say the packaging of this brand looks very nice. The foundation comes in a matt glass bottle with a rubber dropper. I like the fact that the bottle is glass but I found that the dropper didn't pick up much product and wasn't the best quality in my opinion. I also really prefer a pump with my foundation, I think it's much easier to control the amount you are going to be applying. I bought mine in the shade Marshmallow and I think the colour might actually be a bit too light for my skin tone. The foundation comes in 12 shades with isn't bad for this brand but there is definitely room for expansion. I think for my skin tone I might have to also buy the shade Shortbread and mix to two together to achieve the right colour for me. The foundation claims to have light to medium buildable coverage and I would agree with that. This definitely isn't full coverage as it failed to cover any blemishes on my skin but if you're looking for something lighter on the face then this might be worth a go. Another thing to note is that it didn't last very long on my skin which I was disappointed with. I know it has a dewy finish but this foundation is oil free and it still broke up a lot around my nose and chin area.
Overall I think this foundation is okay especially for the price but I think it does depend on what you're looking for from it and the dropper could do with some improvement.
If you want me to test out any more Carter Beauty products or any other make up product please leave a comment and let me know.

SOSU Contour Stick

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing the SoSu contour stick. I’m aware this product has been around for a while now but I have always avoided cream contour products for two reasons. The first being that I don’t want the product to slide around my face and also powder products are easier to use. Secondly, any cream contour products I have come across for reasonable money have been too dark for my skin tone. I purchased the contour stick in the shade ‘Cool’ from my local pharmacy that stocks SoSu products. On application I swiped the contour stick directly onto my face where I would normally apply contour powder and then I used a beauty sponge to blend it out. The stick is very pigmented and it only takes one swipe to apply. It’s very smooth on the skin and the product is easy to build up if you want a more prominent contour. The component feels good quality and the product is cruelty-free, paraben-free and vegan. Overall I think this is a great product. The stick is ea...

Testing make up brushes from Lidl?!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Miomare professional cosmetic brush set from Lidl. I was in Lidl last week and saw these. They were only €5 and I thought they would make an interesting blog post. This is an eight piece set that includes a powder brush, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush, a mascara wand, a lip brush, an eyeliner brush, an eye shadow applicator and  a brush roll . All the brushes are 100% synthetic. There were a few different colours of the brush rolls but I just got the black faux leather one. I was testing these brushes out over the weekend and I have some mixed feeling about them. My favourite brushes in this set are the powder and the blush blushes. I also really like the mascara wand. However I didn't enjoy the rest of the brushes. The eyeshadow brush did not apply product on my eyelid very well. The eyeshadow applicator, eyeliner and lip brushes weren't very useful for me. I don't usually use these tools when applying my make up anyway ...

Moo Goo Shampoo Review

I realise I am late to discovering this shampoo but nevertheless it deserves a review. I picked up the Moo Goo shampoo in my local chemist last week after a friend recommended it to me. I must admit I have been obsessed every since. I have dry hair and over the years I feel like I have tried every shampoo on the market for dry hair. It wasn't until I discovered the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo did my hair improve at all however sometimes even that doesn't work for my hair. It can be frustrating as using hair masks can make my hair go greasy faster and my scalp would still be dry. Since I started using the Moo Goo shampoo my hair looks more hydrated and there is no dryness on my scalp. This shampoo is a little more expensive than your average bottle of shampoo however I believe it is worth every penny. This shampoo is excellent and also leaves a lovely shine.   Available at:  https://moogoo.ie/scalp-friendly-milk-shampoo Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC...
