Best Beauty Advent Calenders 2020

With Halloween behind us Christmas is definitely something I think we are all looking forward to. This year I wanted to put together my top three beauty advent calendar's.

1. ASOS Face and Body 24 Day Advent Calendar

This is my favourite calendar for 2020 as it contains many products and brands that I love like Elemis, MAC, Origins, Emma Harding etc. This is my second year of purchasing the ASOS calendar and I am yet to be disappointed. This retails for €88.99 but unfortunately it is currently out of stock. In case it does come back in stock I'll leave the link here:

2. The Body Shop Make It Real Together Ultimate Advent Calendar

In at number two has to be the The Body Shop. Every year they do the best designed calendar hands down! This calendar is eco-friendly and contains  products such as Drops of Youth Concentrate and the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Face Mask.  This costs £130 and is available here:

3.  Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar

This calendar is more premium and contains some great products from luxurious brands such as Slip, Augustinus Bader and Huda Beauty. This one is definitely worth the splurge as it is valued over £700 and only costs £250! This one is still availabe from the Harrod's website which you can find here:

SOSU Contour Stick

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing the SoSu contour stick. I’m aware this product has been around for a while now but I have always avoided cream contour products for two reasons. The first being that I don’t want the product to slide around my face and also powder products are easier to use. Secondly, any cream contour products I have come across for reasonable money have been too dark for my skin tone. I purchased the contour stick in the shade ‘Cool’ from my local pharmacy that stocks SoSu products. On application I swiped the contour stick directly onto my face where I would normally apply contour powder and then I used a beauty sponge to blend it out. The stick is very pigmented and it only takes one swipe to apply. It’s very smooth on the skin and the product is easy to build up if you want a more prominent contour. The component feels good quality and the product is cruelty-free, paraben-free and vegan. Overall I think this is a great product. The stick is ea...

Testing make up brushes from Lidl?!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Miomare professional cosmetic brush set from Lidl. I was in Lidl last week and saw these. They were only €5 and I thought they would make an interesting blog post. This is an eight piece set that includes a powder brush, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush, a mascara wand, a lip brush, an eyeliner brush, an eye shadow applicator and  a brush roll . All the brushes are 100% synthetic. There were a few different colours of the brush rolls but I just got the black faux leather one. I was testing these brushes out over the weekend and I have some mixed feeling about them. My favourite brushes in this set are the powder and the blush blushes. I also really like the mascara wand. However I didn't enjoy the rest of the brushes. The eyeshadow brush did not apply product on my eyelid very well. The eyeshadow applicator, eyeliner and lip brushes weren't very useful for me. I don't usually use these tools when applying my make up anyway ...

Moo Goo Shampoo Review

I realise I am late to discovering this shampoo but nevertheless it deserves a review. I picked up the Moo Goo shampoo in my local chemist last week after a friend recommended it to me. I must admit I have been obsessed every since. I have dry hair and over the years I feel like I have tried every shampoo on the market for dry hair. It wasn't until I discovered the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo did my hair improve at all however sometimes even that doesn't work for my hair. It can be frustrating as using hair masks can make my hair go greasy faster and my scalp would still be dry. Since I started using the Moo Goo shampoo my hair looks more hydrated and there is no dryness on my scalp. This shampoo is a little more expensive than your average bottle of shampoo however I believe it is worth every penny. This shampoo is excellent and also leaves a lovely shine.   Available at:  https://moogoo.ie/scalp-friendly-milk-shampoo Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC...
