Testing The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on The Ordinary High Spreadability Fluid Primer. I bought this online recently as I'm on the hunt for a new primer that won't mattify my face too much but will also keep my foundation on all day. I tested this out with my normal Revolution Beauty Foundation stick in the shade F1. I have been grabbing this foundation a lot recently as it's very quick to apply. I applied the primer under my foundation. The primer has a nice consistency and spread easily on my face. It took a few seconds to dry into my skin. It left my skin feeling a bit tacky which I really like in a primer and also hydrated. I then continued with the rest of my make up routine. I wore my make up for 9 hours. Initially I was skeptical of this primer but I must say the primer did make my foundation last longer on my face and wasn't drying. My foundation usually begins to break up around my chin and nose areas first but with this primer that seems to ...

Testing make up brushes from Lidl?!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Miomare professional cosmetic brush set from Lidl. I was in Lidl last week and saw these. They were only €5 and I thought they would make an interesting blog post. This is an eight piece set that includes a powder brush, a blush brush, an eye shadow brush, a mascara wand, a lip brush, an eyeliner brush, an eye shadow applicator and  a brush roll . All the brushes are 100% synthetic. There were a few different colours of the brush rolls but I just got the black faux leather one. I was testing these brushes out over the weekend and I have some mixed feeling about them. My favourite brushes in this set are the powder and the blush blushes. I also really like the mascara wand. However I didn't enjoy the rest of the brushes. The eyeshadow brush did not apply product on my eyelid very well. The eyeshadow applicator, eyeliner and lip brushes weren't very useful for me. I don't usually use these tools when applying my make up anyway ...

First impressions: Carter Beauty Zodiac palettes

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be testing out the brand new palettes from Carter Beauty. I haven't tried this brand before but I have heard a lot of good reviews. They just launched the Zodiac Collection which includes two palettes and a few pairs of eyelashes. I don't have the lashes to try out but I do have both of the palettes. I was drawn to these when I saw them swatched on the Carter Beauty Instagram stories. The pigmentation looked incredible. I ordered these off the Cara Pharmacy website which I will leave a link to down below. The palettes are called the Zodiac palette and the Saturn palette. Each palette has three eyeshadow shades and then a contour, highlight and blush shade. Initially I thought that these palettes looked quite similar to one another however as you can tell from the swatches they are a little different. The Zodaic palette shades weren't as impressive as the Saturn palette shades. The Saturn eyeshadows are so unlike any formula I have ever tried ...

Reviewing the Revolution Beauty X Totally Soph Kit

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Totally Soph Kit from Revolution Beauty. It was released before Christmas and to be honest I haven't heard much about this kit even though I thought it would be very popular. It comes with a contour, highlight and blush palette, 3 lip glosses and an eyeshadow palette. It is currently on sale on the Revolution Beauty website for €18.60. My favourite item in this kit has to be the contour, highlight and blush palette. The palette has great pigmentation and the shades are suitable for my for skin tone. It's very handy for travelling with too. The lipglosses are based on the colours from Soph's original lipstick with Revolution Beauty and have nice pigmentation. The eyeshadow palette is probably my least favourite in this kit. The quality of this palette is not like Soph's other two palette collaborations which is what I expected from her kit. Honestly this seems to be more like the quality of the Revolution Beauty's R...

Testing Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder Worth The Hype?

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be telling you my thoughts on the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder. I have been wanting to try this out for a long time but I always put it off because of the price however I was kindly gifted this for Christmas so here are my two cents on the product. First of all I must say the size and packaging of this product is perfect. I can just toss this in my make up bag and it takes up very little room compared to when I used to keep a contour kit in my make up bag. I am also a fan of the design, it looks very luxurious. I got this product in the shade light. It is also available in two other shades on the Beauty Bay website, medium and deep. I  used this powder to contour my cheekbones and jawline and I must say I am happy with the results. It has the right amount of pigment so you won't go over board with the contour and it allows you to build your contour to what your comfortable with. I find contouring to be a tricky step in my make up routine however I ...

Reviewing the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

Hi guys! I recently picked up the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation off Beauty Bay. I have been wanting to test out this brand for a while now. They are a drugstore cruelty free brand that is super affordable and I particularly wanted to try the foundation because I have seen a lot of good reviews about it online. I got mine in the shade soft ivory. I wore it for 10 hours and it held up on my face very well. I think for this foundation it changes a lot depending on what primer and moisturiser you wear underneath it. The first time I wore the foundation I moisturised my face and then applied the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir to my face. I thought this combination worked well together for my dry skin and also gave the foundation a slight glow. However the second time I wore this foundation I tried it without the elixir and it dried out my skin a lot and also started to break up around my chin and nose area. This does mean for my skin if I want this foundation to look good I have to us...
