Environmentally Conscious Beauty Brands

Antonym Antonym Make up is a natural, organic and cruelty free make up brand. They use Ecocert ingredients in their products and most of their products are packaged in bamboo or paper. Not all products use plastic free packaging but a large amount does so be mindful to check before purchasing. Lush We are all aware of Lush’s incredible bath bomb but they create so much more. Lush have a Naked range which is completely packaging free products. From make-up, hair care and skincare all available without the plastic packaging. I am a huge fan of Lush and in particular this Naked range. I hope to see other brands adopt a similar range.   Kjaer Weis Kjaer Weis sell certified organic natural makeup in refillable metal tins. This brand is expensive however you can buy the refills for these products and the metal containers will last forever. The idea of the refillable make up is genius and worth the splurge every now and then. RMS Beauty This brand is largely plastic...

What's Trending?!

So recently I've been seeing a lot of new trends that have arrived or will be coming in for summer so I wanted to share what trends I have noticed and which ones I think will be huge this summer. The first has to be the revival of camo. I am a huge fan of camo so I always love to see it back in the shops. I recently picked up a pair of camo trousers myself which I'm looking forward to wearing as soon as the weather picks up. A lot of camo clothing has sold out online as I have been looking for camo trousers for the longest time so if you're interested in this look I would recommend acting quickly. The next trend I have spotted is hair clips and hair bands. I'm a big fan of these and I have noticed both items appearing bit by bit in the shops. Although this trend hasn't taken off everywhere quite yet I think they will really gain traction in the next few months. So anyone who is a fan of Gossip girl can relive their Blair Waldorf moment. Another trend se...

The Body Shop Shea Butter Range

Recently I was lucky enough to receive a package from The Body Shop which was kindly gifted to me and includes some of their Shea Butter range. I received the 100% Natural Shea Butter,  body lotion, conditioner and hair mask. I wanted to try out these products as I have heard so many great things about this range. They have recently launched the 100% Natural Shea Butter which is a multipurpose product with a rich and creamy texture. This can be used to moisture almost any part of your body from head to toe. You can also use this product as a part of crafting when making your own lip balms for example.  All the products in this range leave your skin feeling super soft and moisturised and really targets any dry skin you have. I have started using the body lotion when I come out of my shower. This lotion adds hydration back into my skin and smells incredible. I also noticed that the scent is lasting on the skin which is unlike most body lotions I have tried. I use the hair...

Everyday Office Makeup

Hi guys! I started my work placement recently and I've been trying to decide what make up to wear everyday. I have been struggling to find the right mix of products to use. So I came up with these few products to wear that won't take long to apply in the morning and will provide that bit of coverage for the office if you so desire. Firstly I moisturise/prime my face with the Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel. I then go in with a damp beauty sponge and apply the Bourjois City Radiance Foundation. I have mine in the shade '01 Rose Ivory'.  This is technically a foundation but I see it more of a BB cream with good coverage. To brighten up my under eye area I use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade '05' and you can be sure concealer is needed to look like I'm awake and bright for the early morning starts. For my brows I don't do too much to them I just use the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in the shade '01 Blo...

What you need to know about the Zoella X Colourpop collaboration

I was excited to see the release of the Zoella X Colourpop Brunch Date collection. This collaboration wasn't a very obvious one to me initially. Colourpop are an American brand and aren't widely available in the UK or Europe. Many people have criticised this collaboration as Zoella is not a make up artist and beauty isn't her sole focus anymore. However I do think this is a clever collaboration on Colourpop's behalf as Zoella has such a huge fan base in this part of the world and further afield. As far as I know the only way to purchase Colourpop cosmetics is from their website and there is a shipping fee of $10 to Ireland. I placed my order on the 1st of March and it took about two weeks to arrive from America. I ordered the Brunch Date eyeshadow palette and the ultra matte lip in the shade 'Little one'. There are many other products that come in this collaboration but I decided to only get these two products to test out due to the fact that I have never tried...

Current favourites!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be telling you about my current favourite beauty products. These products are a mix between old and newer releases that I've been enjoying over the last month or so. The first favourite I want to mention is the Garnier Ultimate Blends hair mask. This mask is silicone, paraben free and is infused with rich argan oil. This mask is targeted at dry hair but there are several masks in this range for all different hair types. I really enjoy using this product as it makes my hair feel very soft and hydrated. I use this about once or twice a week in the shower. The MAC In Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara is another favourite of mine. I'm aware that this is an older mascara by MAC but it is highly rated. I received this in the Mac X Look Fantastic collaboration box at Christmas time but I haven't got a chance to test it yet. I have been trying it out and I must say I think this is a decent mascara. It has a thick wand with short bristles and gives a...

Carter Beauty Half Measure Dewy Foundation

Hi guys! I'm back with another foundation review. I apologize for the lack of posting recently as I have been busy with college exams. I haven't had much of a chance recently to test out make up but I did get a chance to try out the Carter Beauty Half Measure Dewy Foundation. I purchased this in Penney's recently as Carter Beauty in now available in many Penney's stores in Ireland. I must say the packaging of this brand looks very nice. The foundation comes in a matt glass bottle with a rubber dropper. I like the fact that the bottle is glass but I found that the dropper didn't pick up much product and wasn't the best quality in my opinion. I also really prefer a pump with my foundation, I think it's much easier to control the amount you are going to be applying. I bought mine in the shade Marshmallow and I think the colour might actually be a bit too light for my skin tone. The foundation comes in 12 shades with isn't bad for this brand but there is def...
